It's Official! The Alabama A&M University Branch Powered by Redstone Federal Credit Union is now open! A Grand Opening Ceremony was held Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Ernest L. Knight Reception Center. With standing room only, members of the Presidents Cabinet, Redstone Federal Credit Union Employees, Members of the Alabama A&M Family (alumni, faculty, staff, students) and media were all in attendance. 

Joe Newberry, President & CEO of Redstone Federal Credit Union began his remarks with a "Go Bulldogs," "Thankful for this opportunity. This is a dream come true."

"Promoting broader knowledge, heightened awareness, strategic actions for learning and intergenerational sharing" 

The Virginia Caples Lifelong Learning Institute (VCLLI) aims to establish a state-of-the-art facility that offers traditional and futuristic courses, while providing a stimulating educational, social, and life enhancing environment by having an impact on older adults, families, and caregivers.

Alabama A&M University is looking volunteers to usher for the Spring 2018 Commencement Exercises. The Commencement will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena. Taking higher education on wheels. Alabama A&M University set off for their Presidential Bus Tour Monday, February 19, 2018. The tour made stops in Alabama cities. During the tour, the administration provided over $16 million in scholarships and held on-site admissions for the future Bulldogs. The Bus Tour included President Hugine, First Lady Hugine, Miss Alabama A&M Aliyah Riley, Student Government Association President Julian Griffith-Battle, the Office of Admissions and more University figures. The tour ended February 23rd at 3 p.m.

The Alabama A&M University Family is saddened by the Monday, February 19, 2018, death of Dr. Virginia Caples, long-time educator and administrator at AAMU for nearly 40 years. The Alabama A&M Family remembers her life and legacy in a tribute video. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24th, at 12 noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, 3509 Blue Spring Road, NW, Huntsville, Alabama.

Alabama A&M University fans, alumni and media joined AAMU Head Football Coach Connell Maynor and his coaching staff for National Signing Day of the 2018 recruiting class. Coach Maynor had only two weeks to get 17 of the best of the best to round out the Fighting Bulldogs squad. The class features nine offensive players and eight players on defense. Sixteen of the 17 players are high school recruits while one is a junior college transfer.  The signees represent Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Michigan, and Maryland.
