Kiara Hurst

Student Intern

Kiara Hurst is a Senior, Communications Media Major at Alabama A&M University. Hurst is a native of Nashville, TN. She serves as the Founder of a girls mentoring program called, "Go Girl" and the Editor-in-Chief of the student publication, "The Bulldog Times."  Miss Hurst is a member of the Delta Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Hurst enjoys writing, dancing, and laughing with friends. Her life’s motto is “Know what the world says about you , then do the opposite.” 

For her internship, Miss Hurst is currently working with WJAB-TV Program Manager, Latoyia Clemons. 

Ways to Connect

Every semester, student athletes are recognized for their academic excellence. Jan 29th, 194 students athletes were recognized for their academic achievements. For their accomplishment, they were placed on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. These student athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the fall 2017 semester. AAMU President Dr. Andrew Hugine, Jr., Faculty Representative, Dr. Larry McDaniel and Athletic Director Brian Hicks recognized them.

Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University presents Dancing with the President and First Lady, Friday,February 9th. The "Harlem Nights on the Hill" themed evening is semi-formal and open to the general public at the cost of $25, students at $10, and/or a table of 10 for $350.
