31st Annual Jazz-N-June Festival

Tennessee Valley Jazz Society and WJAB 90.9 presents the 31st Annual Jazz-N-June Festival June, 17 - 22, 2017. This year's events include the Jazz-N-June Show at the Cooper House, Jazz on the Mountain and a Multicultural Unity Celebration. The events are also in honor of Mrs. Elizabeth Sloan-Ragland, former Director of Electronic Media Communications at Alabama A&M University. 

TVJS will welcome French Pianist Philippe LeJeune to Huntsville Saturday, June 17th for the Jazz-N-June Show at the Cooper House, 405 Randolph Street. Doors open at 6 p.m., the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission. On Sunday, June 18th the ever popular Jazz On the Mountain will take place at the Monte Sano State Park Amphitheater. This year's line up includes The Silvery Moon Band, Josh Couts Quartet, Acappella, Uptown Jazz Band and Eugene Fleming with Tom Branch-Pete Harrison, Devere Pride and others. Gates open at 12 p.m. This is a FREE event. 

To wrap up the Jazz-N-June Festival will be a Multicultural Unity Celebration honoring the life of the late Elizabeth Sloan-Ragland through word and song. This gospel music concert is scheduled for Thursday, June 22nd, 7 p.m. at Oakwood University Church. Before the gospel concert, at 6 p.m. there will be an education symposium and panel discussion. This is also a FREE event.
